Change

It's apparent you're a parent when you find fake change mixed in with the real stuff.

Echo

It's appent you're a parent when your children echo your own words, tone, phrases, etc. This morning it was, "No Mama, you need to say, 'May I please kiss you?'"

Alarm Clock

It's apparent you're a parent when your "alarm clock" is 2 cute little hands patting, "Pattycake" on your face, or some variation there of. Yep I haven't had an actual alarm for 5 years now, wow.

Boo Boos

It's apparent you're a parent when your magic kiss is all it takes to make an owie heal, and if not, a hello kitty bandaid will work instantly too.

Tired

It's apparent you're a parent when you are so tired you don't have time to think about how tired you are, until you do, and then it makes you tired just to think about it.

Optimism

It's apparent you're a parent when your sense of optimism about the world, your day, the weather etc. can't help but increase in the company of your children. Case in point, one little missy who chooses a "party skirt" ensemble of her own making complete with backwards shoes she put on herself and topped off with sunglasses on a rainy Monday.

 Oh and some dance hands to go with.

Radio Love

It's apparent you're a parent when you make an Alvin and the Chipmunks Pandora station for the kids, and then endure listening to it. Now playing, the Chipmunk version of "I want to know what love is" (Foreigner). Papa, you know what love is, clearly.

Though I will admit as it turns out this station also includes some pretty fun high energy songs too, Eye of the Tiger, I Gotta Feeling, you know stuff that makes Mama do some pretty awesome trampoline dancing...
